When I'm not training clients I'm usually out discovering new trails with my dog Phoebe and my two kids. I love sharing delicious food with my friends and family. I get excited about weird stuff; organizing my pantry, optimizing the function of small spaces and receiving cards in the mail.

With a focus on behavioral change, I help my clients understand thier own current habits and provide them with the tools to create new ones. I take a very simple, science based approach when teaching Yoga breathing to my clients. My goal is to empower you! We often overlook our own health until undesirable symptoms develop. We have the tools within us to assist in self regulating, but without knowing how to use them, we miss a great oppertunity to improve ourselves.
I started seeing Karie as a personal trainer 9 months ago. I had never utilized a gym before and was apprehensive about a few things, including "not being fit enough to go to a gym" and being embarrassed about my current fitness level. Karie helped me make lifestyle changes that I had only on a minor level of motivation to achieve at the beginning of our sessions, to something that I now have a very strong intrinsic level of motivation to continue on with. Today I go to the gym regularly and have continued to eat far better than i did prior to starting the personal training with Karie.
